George Russell has taken to social media to send a message following his first-ever career win.
Russell won the Brazil Grand Prix after starting from the pole position on Sunday, November 13. The Mercedes driver celebrated his first-ever career win.
His teammate, Lewis Hamilton came second while Carlos Sainz finished third.
Russell overall has 265 points during this season, 1 win and 8 podiums and is 4th in the driver standings.
“To my family, my friends, my teammates and everyone who has been on this journey, thank you,” wrote Russell on Twitter.
“I can’t put into words how much your support means to me and how much of a joint effort it has been. This win is as much yours as it is mine. We did it, together. I’m so proud of you all.”
