Paul Merson has spoken out on Liverpool’s decision to sell Sadio Mane.
The Reds sold Mane to Bayern Munich during this summer transfer window after six years at the club.
The 30-year-old has already made 13 appearances for Bayern in which he has scored 7 goals and provided one assist.
Speaking via Sky Sports, Merson said: “I’ve said it from day one, in my opinion, selling Sadio Mane was the worst business ever…
“He led from front with him closing down and for me, what they sold him for I just don’t get it.”
The Reds has a slow start to the 2022/2023 season as they are currently 9th in the Premier League table with just 2 wins in 7 games.
