Bookmaker-Ratings expert Emmanuel Adebayor has made his prediction for Sunday’s FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match between France and Poland.
France topped Group D despite losing 0-1 to Tunisia in the final group game to reach the Round of 16. The French side’s head coach, Didier Deschamps, made nine changes to his side following the Denmark game. After the match, he admitted his mind was on keeping players fresh for the playoff phase.
As for Poland, they finished as the runners-up in Group C, despite losing to Argentina in their last game. To say the least, they had good fortune that evening.
Poland and Mexico were tied after their three Group C matches on four points, but the European side qualified for the round of 16 based on a better goal difference.
They reached the knockout stages for the first time since 1986.
My favorites? You know, we have the reigning champions, the France national team. They have great players like Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele. They are on top of their game. They will give a lot of trouble to Poland’s defense. For Poland, it will be another tough game.
