Ghana forward Inaki Williams has been shortlisted for the La Liga Player of the Month award for September after a series of standout performances for Athletic Bilbao.
Williams played a crucial role in Bilbao’s success over the month, contributing to five goals in just four matches.
The 29-year-old striker scored once and provided four assists, clocking 285 minutes on the field and completing 69 successful passes.
The competition for the award is fierce, with Williams facing off against high-profile players like Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Barcelona’s young sensation Lamine Yamal, Alaves’ Carlos Vicente, and Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso.
In addition to his club duties, Williams is also expected to be a key player for Ghana in the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifying doubleheader against Sudan next month.
