2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 32 Match Preview- Medeama SC v Elmina Sharks

Published on: 04 July 2021

Medeama SC will be hoping to end a run of three games without a win when they hosts Elmina Sharks at the Akoon Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Mauve and Yellows have not won a game since beating Karela United at home, losing to Hearts of Oak and dropping points against relegation threatened King Faisal and Inter Allies.

Meanwhile, Elmina Sharks need victory is they are to escape relegation after failing to record a win in their last two games, following defeat to Berekum Chelsea and a draw against Great Olympics.

They currently lie 17th on the table and are just two points behind 12th place Ebusua Dwarfs who hosts league leaders Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

However, a win for Medeama will see them make a giant move into the top four.

Both teams have struggled recently with their key men failing to come to the party.

For Sharks, the departure of Benjamin Tweneboah to Aduana Stars has hugely affected their campaign, as he was their livewire.

Medeama will count on former Asante Kotoko striker Amed Toure for goals today but more will be expected of his strike partner Prince Owusu Agyemang.

Prediction: Medeama 2-1 Elmina Sharks
