2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 33 Match Preview - Eleven Wonders vs. Medeama SC

Published on: 11 July 2021

Eleven Wonders will secure their top-flight status if they beat Medeama at the Nana Ameyaw Park in the penultimate 2020-21 Ghana Premier League match on Sunday.

The Sure Wonders will bag 42 points and that will be enough to guarantee the side another stay in the Ghanaian elite division even if they lose to Legon Cities in their final match.

Anything short of victory at home will be disastrous for the Techiman-based side as they will be left with little choice to beat the Royals in the capital.

Wonders should be in confident mood after recording a vital 1-0 win over Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend.

That win has catapulted them to 12th on the league table with 39 points from 32 games and will now require just a win to secure another top-flight status.

Wonders trainer Ignatius Osei-Fosu is expected to keep faith with the squad that beat the Wonder Club in Accra last week.

They come up against a side which is seeking to finish at least in the top-four after a rather disappointing campaign.

Medeama striker Amed Toure is back in the squad for the trip to Techiman and is expected to spearhead the side's attack.

The Mauve and Yellows are third on the table with 51 points and a crucial win will ensure they finish third on the table.
