Kofi Owusu's late winner confirmed Berekum Chelsea's premier league status for next season after beating Great Olympics at the Golden City Park on Sunday. 

Benjamin Abaidoo shot the host in the lead right at the stroke of half time as the Biribies but Gladson Awako pulled level after the break.

But with the game almost over Kofi Owusu snatched a late winner with a superb strike.

The win keeps the Biribies four points clear of the drop with a better stats against their rivals in the bottom half.

Meanwhile, Great Olympics' top four ambitions remains in doubt after the draw and will have to win their final game and hope other results go their favour.

Chelsea started the game well and controlled most part of the first 45 minutes, creating chances but had to wait till the final minute of the half to break the deadlock.

However, the visitors bounced back strong after the half and with few minutes left, talisman Gladson Awako pulled level.

Veteran forward Kofi Owusu then produced magic in the final moments to secure an important win for the Blues.

Great Olympics return to Accra to host Dreams FC on the final day with Berekum Chelsea in Tarawa to face Medeama SC.
