AFCON2021: GHANA vs COMOROS

The current crop of Black Stars players have set an unwanted record following their shocking elimination from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team were beaten by debutants Comoros on Tuesday evening, a defeat that sent the Black Stars packing from Cameroon.

It was a match Ghana needed to win to salvage their campaign. They had failed to impress against Morocco and Gabon resulting in just one point.

Thus, a win against Comoros, ranked 132nd by FIFA, was a must. However, Milovan Rajevac’s side, playing with 10 men due to Andre Ayew’s sending off, bowed to a 3-2 defeat.

The defeat means Ghana finished bottom in Group C.

Ghana's exit is the first time in their history they exited the African Cup of Nations without winning a single game.

Obviously, Ghanaians are disappointed and want Rajevac to step aside, however, the Serbian wants to continue.
