2022 World Cup: Great Olympics coach Annor Walker predicts Ghana will go far

Great Olympics coach Walker has predicted a successful 2022 World Cup campaign for the Black Stars in Qatar later this year.

The Black Stars have been assigned to a difficult group in the tournament after qualifying at the expense of sworn rivals Nigeria, whom they defeated by away goals in the final qualifying round.

Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay, and then South Korea in the tournament. Their first match is against former European champions, followed by matches against South American giants and a group stage match against Koreans.

Black Stars aim to do better than 2010 edition in which they reached the quarter-final and were a penalty kick away from becoming the first African side to make the last four of the tournament.

The Black Stars B coach told Bryt FM in Koforidua that Ghana has a chance to make an impact at the World Cup if Ghanaians support them.

“I believe the Black Stars will succeed at the World Cup with our support. I see Ghana going far but it will depend on how we support the team, there should unity among us

The tournament will be played between November and December this year.
