Ashgold may be forced to play home games outside of Obuasi due to security concerns

Former Ghanaian champions AshantiGold may be forced to play their remaining Ghana Premier League home games away from the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium due to security concerns.

Following the club's demotion to the third tier for match manipulation, the miners' week 29 match against Kotoko was postponed due to security concerns.

The Ghana Football Association on Monday announced on Monday that the match will now be played on June at the Len Clay.

However, if the security risk and advice from the Security Services remain unchanged by the next home match, the Ghana FA reserves the right to move AshantiGold's home matches to a club-selected alternative match venue.

Ashgold and Inter Allies were found guilty of match-fixing after their last season clash produced a cricket scoreline.

Inter Allies' Hashmin Musah scored two deliberate own goals to help Ashgold win 7-0.
