BUNDESLIGA - Rode is making his squad comeback against Piraeus

Published on: 20 October 2021

For the first time since the first round in the DFB-Pokal, Sebastian Rode is ready to play for Eintracht Frankfurt on the field. After a two-month injury break, he will celebrate his squad comeback in the Europa League home game against Olympiacos. SGE coach Oliver Glasner announced this the day before the game.

"He has now trained and is doing well so far," he commented, looking back at the past two weeks in which Rode took part in team training. Previously, a knee injury (including arthroscopic surgery) had put him out of action.

In view of the long absence, a start against the Greeks would be “much too early”, emphasized Frankfurt's coach, “but it is becoming apparent that he is now on his way back and that we are getting a very high quality alternative”.
