The incompetence of South African Football Association (SAFA) leaders got exposed on Friday when their protest against Ghana was thrown out by FIFA.

President Danny Jordaan and Chief Executive Officer Tebogo Motlanthe had since the match (Ghana 1-0 win over South Africa) in early November granted a lot of interviews in which they discredited Ghana Football Association (GFA) and deceive South Africans that they had a genuine case.

They wanted the crucial World Cup qualifier replayed and went to the extent of claiming that GFA sent an official to bribe referee Maguette N'Diaye in Senegal.

“You cannot be schooled by a primary school teacher when you are a university professor. We have organized a World Cup. It was voted the best ever World Cup on the African continent. We cannot be schooled by people who are just in their first year in administration and so we kept quiet," Danny Jordaan fired GFA boss Kurt Okraku in a recent interview.

But Ghana has the last laugh because FIFA made clear that SAFA leaders failed woefully as the world football governing body declared the protest “inadmissible”.

“The protest lodged by South Africa has been declared inadmissible by the Disciplinary Committee as it did not meet the requirements foreseen under art. 46 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code and art. 14 of the Regulations of the Preliminary Competition of the FIFA World Cup 2022," FIFA said in a statement to Ghanasoccernet.com.

This proves SAFA had no evidence backing their wild allegations, including match-fixing which tarnished the image of the GFA.

FIFA ruling confirms Ghana’s progression to the final qualifying round with the Black Stars on course to qualify for their fourth World Cup.
