Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban set for Turkey return following Genoa’s relegation

Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban is set to return to Turkey, with his agent in talks with Besiktas about a summer transfer.

Following Genoa's relegation from the Italian Serie A in the just-ended season, Ekuban is looking for a new home.

The attacker demanded a transfer from Trabzonspor to Genoa, claiming that he needed to be closer to his Italian family.

Unfortunately for him, he was a disaster, and Genoa was unable to survive, while his previous club Trabzonspor won the Turkish championship. In 33 games for Genoa, he scored two goals.

Valerien Ismael, Ekuban's agent, is pushing for a move to Besiktas.

The club had a disappointing season, finishing outside of the top four, and they are desperate to build a team capable of competing for the title next season.

During his time in Turkey, Ekuban was outstanding. He brilliantly led Trabzonspor's attack, scoring crucial goals.

Ghanaosccernet.com also understands that Konyaspor, who finished third in the Super Lig, are also interested in Ekuban.
