Tetteh claimed they gave him information about Turkish football, with both telling him that Super Lig is very competitive.
"I talked to Aziz Tetteh and Afriyie Acquah. Super League. I got general information about the situation in the league when I talked to them. They said that the league is a very competitive league and that if you prove your talent, there is a place where you can go to the top five leagues [in Europe]." Tetteh said.
The 25-year-old moved to Turkey in 2020, signing a season-long loan deal with Yeni Malatyaspor.
He scored six goals and assisted six, convincing the club to sign him permanently from Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.
Tetteh signed a four-year contract with YMS in the summer.
In the same interview, Tetteh opened up about his role model in football.
"I liked Cristiano Ronaldo very much when I was young. As time passed, as I grew older, I started to love Adebayor and Ibrahimovic."
He also mentioned Galatasaray's Brazilian Marcao as the most difficult defender he has faced.
This season Tetteh has started brightly, scoring three goals in seven league games.
He made his Black Stars debut on Saturday against Zimbabwe in Cape Coast. Three days later, he was handed his first Ghana start in Harare.
In both games, Ghana won to remain in contention to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
