Karela United coach Bismark Kobi Mensah said his team deserved to win against Asante Kotoko on Sunday and is disappointed with the outcome of the Ghana Premier League match.

Karela despite their dominance were unable to beat Kotoko who played almost 30 minutes in the second half with 10 men after midfielder Richard Boadu was sent off.

Kotoko had goalkeeper Razak Abalora to thank, especially, for the draw to protect their unbeaten run this season.

"I'm very disappointed because it is always painful if you dominate a game and you don't win,” Mensah said.

“I told you Kotoko are beatable because I knew what I was talking about, I had watched them three times

"We know the quality we have and had the confidence we will beat them but is quite unfortunate.

"We were denied a clear penalty. With Kotoko's red card, the player was already on yellow so I think is a clear red card."

Karela are 11th on the table, four points behind league leaders Kotoko.
