Match Summary – Liberty Professionals 2-1 Inter Allies:

The start to the second round of the Division One League season resulted in a defeat in Dansoman.

The Eleven Is To One were defeated 2-1 at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman on Saturday afternoon.

Timothy Ahoto scored the opener after 23 minutes of play and could have scored added to the tally but had two chances blocked.

Enock Okain put the ball at the back of the net but was adjudged offside, a decision by the match officials that received boos from the few fans who were present.

On the brink of half time, Kwame Paul leveled for the home side. It was 1-1 halfway through the match.

The second half was more difficult for both teams. The back of the net was far from the reach depiste setting many goalscoring opportunities.

When all seem set for a draw, Liberty were awarded a penalty in the 95th minute. George Ansong scored to win it for the hosts.

We return to action next weekend as we host Kwaebibirem United at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
