Medeama coach Umar Abdul Rabi admits they were second best against Kotoko

Medeama coach Umar Abdul Rabi cut a disappointed figure following his side's defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Medeama conceded in the 79th minute to lose 1-0 in Kumasi - their third defeat this season after 14 games - and as a result, stay in fifth position.

The Mauves and Yellows would have moved up to third if they claimed a point from the pulsating encounter.

“It was a good game. Both teams played very well. Kotoko dominated the game more than us, created more chances and they won the game,” Rabi told reporters.

“In some way, I am disappointed because we could have done better. We also got chances that we could have scored though they played better. We couldn't bury our chances. This is what happens when you get chances and don't score,” he added.

Medeama will aim to bounce back when they host Elmina Sharks on Sunday.
