English club Reading celebrated their right-back Andy Yiadom who turned 30 on Thursday.

The Ghana defender was wished well by the Championship side, a club Yiadom has been representing since 2018.

He is now a key member of the squad and was handed captain’s armband in their last match against Swansea.

Under the leadership of Yiadom, Reading secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory on the road to end their winless run in the league.

“It’s always nice to win away from home!” Yiadom reacted to the win as captain.

“We lost midweek, so it’s good to bounce back with three points.

“Swansea have been doing well and they knock the ball around really well. But all the boys stuck together and managed to get the win.

Yiadom joined Reading from Barnsley and since been their trusted right-back with over 100 appearances in all competitions. He has scored three goals.

His consistency at Reading has made him Ghana’s first-choice right-back.
