SHOCKER: Ghana FA re-admit "no-show boys" Amidaus Professionals in a dramatic "telemundo"
Amidaus Professionals are rocked bottom with negative 12 points

Ghana football has been thrown into a global mockery after second-tier side Amidaus Professionals were "mysteriously" re-admitted into the league despite their "no-show" since the start of the season in the most "preposterous and insane interpretation of the law" governing the game in the West African nation, it has been argued by critics.

The Tema-based side failed to show up for a seventh consecutive National Division One League matches but are back on the block after being re-admitted by the Ghana Football Association.

The decision to re-admit the club has sparked widespread outrage and makes scoffing of a common sense approach, setting a terrible precedent for the administration of football in Ghana, critics insist.

Division One League clubs have remained coy over the development amid fears of allegedly being targeted for relegation in the powerful West African nation but have sent several SOS calls to Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com.

There have been calls for Amidaus Professionals to be expunged from the league but appears there is no clarity in the  current regulations - leading the association to run into  a coup-de-suck.

Under the previous regulation, forfeiting three consecutive matches automatically led to an expulsion but that does not appear to be the situation on the surface.

Reasonable voices have been left flabbergasted by the unpopular decision to re-admit Amidaus Professionals as it flies in the face of unfairness and common sense in what has been largely labeled as a "messy situation".

Given that the club failed to register a single player before the start of the 2020-21 season, the re-admission decision has amplified the "insane" scenario that has engulfed the Division One League Board.

As many as seven teams benefited from the club's no-show after accruing points and their return has put the remaining eight teams which did not benefit in an unfair situation in the race for promotion and relegation.

Amidaus are rocked bottom with an unbelievable negative 12 points from 15 games - the first of its kind in any league in the world - to put local football on another ridiculous pedestal.

Given that statistically, it will almost be impossible for Amidaus Professionals to avoid the drop, the re-admission decision makes for "kindergarten" reading and makes mockery of the current Latin Soap Opera.

The race for promotion in Zone 3 has been heightened with as many as five teams in contention.

League leaders Tema Youth, second-placed Accra Lions FC as well as Kotoku Royals, Heart of Lions and Okyeman Planners are all in a hunt for qualification to the country's elite division.
