WAFA wonderkid Augustine Boakye named June GPL player of the the month

WAFA youngster Augustine Boakye has been crowned the Player of the Month of June after finishing the season in style. 

The Academy kid beat competition from Asante Kotoko's Fabio Gama, Emmanuel Anaful of Ebusua Dwarfs and Egypt bound Elmina Sharks attacker Benjamin Boateng.

Boakye, who is on his way to Austria to join Wolsberger, was twice Man of the Match in the month and netted two goals in June as WAFA finished the campaign in third place.

He will receive NASCO television set and a personalized trophy.

The youngster is in contention for the player of the season after impressing in the just ended campaign.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu was named coach of the month after leading the Phobians to Ghana Premier League success.
