Indian Super League side NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of Ghanaian 'Mini Hulk' striker Francis Dadzie.

Dadzie (20) signed on the dotted line for the Guwahati-based ISL outfit just days after Argentine striker Nicolas Velez joined the side.

The franchisee side has now acquired three top overseas forwards in the form of Velez, Dadzie, and Senegal forward Diomansy Kamara.

Apart from the foreign stars, they also have Indian striker Holicharan Narzary at their disposal.

Following the acquisition of Dadzie, NorthEast United FC head coach Cesar Farias stated: "Francis is a very strong player who knows how to use his power to take advantage and create chances.

:He can pressurise defenders and his youth adds more desire and hunger up-front. He has an impressive left foot as well."

Known as 'Mini Hulk' for his strong physical appearance, the Ghana youngster has been a former player of Ghana Premier League side Bechem United.

The player was also undergoing trials at Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers last summer, where he caught the attention of Timbers manager Caleb Porter.

"Obviously, you see he's a big, strong boy, especially for an 18-year-old," Porter was quoted as saying.

he presence of a strong physical figure upfront will be the icing on the cake for the North East Indian side, as that can be exactly what the ISL outfit would have needed to dominate things up front.

With 11 goals from 14 matches, the John Abraham co-owned side didn't have a very prominent showing last time, but this year, things are expected to change.
