Indian Women’s League: Seven Ghanaian stars registered for new season

Seven (7) Ghanaian players have been registered by clubs for the 2024/25 Indian Women’s League which kicked off on Friday, 10 January 2025.

Defending champions Odisha FC have signed striker Jennifer Yeboah to help them defend their title.

HOPS FC, heading into their third consecutive IWL season, have recruited Gladys Amfobea and Constance Achiaa.

Ghana international Amfobea will don the club’s shirt for the second season in a row, while Achiaa replaces Fredrica Torkudzor who left after the completion of last season.

At Sribhumi FC, Regina Antwi and Queenable Akousa Amankrah have been registered.

New entrants Nita FC have signed duo Sussana Konadu and Gifty Acheampong.

The eighth edition of the Indian Women’s League will, for the second season in a row, be played on a home-and-away format.

A total of 56 matches will be played in eight venues across the country to determine the champions.

The winner secure a ticket to play in the 2025/26 AFC Women’s Champions League.
