Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng is delighted with the performance of his US Sassuolo teammates in their 3-3 stalemate with AC Fiorentina but says they could have done more to win the match.

The Neroverdi are enduring a difficult spell in the league after recording just a win in five games to drop to 9th on the standings.

Tough Boateng watched the match from the stands due to injury, he believes his teammates played a perfect which merited a win but mistakes was their bane.

"With Fiorentina it was an almost perfect match, let's say perfect for 80 minutes then some mistakes made us too much to take home the 3 points but saying when you're not on the pitch becomes easier."

"What matters is that the team has expressed itself well and a performance like that says we have to grow but also that if we express ourselves at these levels we can think positive."

Boateng, who is expected to be sidelined until 2019, has scored 5 goals in 12 games in all competitions for the club since joining in the summer from Eintracht Frankfurt.
