Indian club NorthEast United have brought in a new striker to replace Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah following his injury.

Appiah has been injured since December last year and it is unclear when he will be returning to action.

Thus, NorthEast have acquired the services Jamaican Deshorn Brown as a replacement for the injured Appiah.

Brown was bought from fellow top-flight side Bengaluru FC in January and has made a great start. He has scored three goals in four games.

Appiah was one of NorthEast's most important players before his injury. He found the net three times in eight appearances.

He joined NorthEast from English side AFC Wimbledon in October 2020.

Former Black Stars trainer Gerrard Nus, who until recently was NorthEast head coach, played an important role in the transfer.
