Injury is the only thing that can prevent me from playing for Black Stars - Semenyo

Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has reaffirmed his commitment to the national team, stating that injury is the only thing that can prevent him from playing for Ghana.

Semenyo described playing for the Black Stars as "an honour" and expressed his desire to always be part of the team. "It's an honour; I always want to be part of the national team," he said.

The Bournemouth star has made 27 appearances for the Black Stars and recently scored in Ghana's 5-0 win over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Semenyo emphasised that he always tries to make himself available for selection, except when injured.

"I feel like the only thing that will ever stop me is obviously injury, of course, but I always try to make myself available," Semenyo added.

With his dedication and goal-scoring form, Semenyo will be a key player for Ghana in their future matches.

Semenyo will look to continue his scoring form when club football resumes this weekend, with Bournemouth facing Manchester City in the FA Cup.
