Turkey-based striker Benjamin Tetteh has withdrawn from the Ghana squad for this month's qualifiers because of injury.

It is unknown the type of injury suffered by Tetteh but he is unavailable for Ethiopia and South Africa games.

Tetteh was recalled into the team for crucial games after giving a great account of himself in his first call-up in October.

He played well in both games against Zimbabwe as Ghana secured six points to remain in contention for qualification.

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac though disappointed will have to make do without the promising forward.

Tetteh has scored five goals in 11 games for Yeni Malatyaspor this season.

Ghana play Ethiopia in Johannesburg on Thursday and host South Africa three days later.
