Three players are gunning for a starting role in Ghana's problematic left-back position against Botswana on Tuesday evening.

Massawudu Alhassan, Daniel Opare and Samuel Inkoom are the players in contention.

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic appears to be in a dilemma as to who to pick for the slot since all three have excelled so far.

Italy-based Massawudu Alhassan has been the preferred choice in recent games but right-footed Samuel Inkoom has been used in the team's training session in Gabon.

Daniel Opare earned rave reviews with his exploits during the qualifiers and international friendly matches last year.

The left-back position has been Ghana's achilles heel after Habib Mohammed disappeared after the 2006 Fifa World Cup.
