Expires match tickets used for the Inter Allies vrs Hearts of Oak match on Sunday

Chief Executive of Inter Allies Delali Senaye has explained reasons for using old match tickets for Sunday’s match against Hearts of Oak.

Suspicions were rife after fans were issued old match tickets of a game between Tema Youth and Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

Some concerned fans complained of probably a ploy to conceal income generated at the gates with the ‘fake’ match tickets being issued at the Tema Park.

But Inter Allies Chief Executive Senaye who oversaw the organisation of the match at the Tema Park as the host club says the ‘fake’ issued tickets was only an alternative measure after the originals run out.

“We made a request for tickets, the tickets run out,” he told Metro FM.

“Should we open the gates free or close it? When we close it the fans will hit the gates.

“We therefore made a request to the sports council for tickets which were declared to all stakeholders.

“So it is not Kotoko fans, they were unused tickets [for a previous match].”
