Herberth Addo says his Inter Allies side could beat the drop if they maintain their improved form in the second round.
The Tema-based side have lifted themselves from the foot of the section, with 20 points with 10 games left, after nailing Liberty Professionals 2-1 at the Tema Park in Saturday's only First Capital Plus Premier League kick-off.
Malian import Niare Benogo curled home a free-kick in the 34th minute before Prosper Kassim climbed off the bench to double the advantage for Allies.
"We're surviving relegation. I picked the team in bad condition and I've been working to ensure they improve their understanding of the game and get the basics," Addo said in the post-match interview.
Allies are battling with Aduana Stars, Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals but each of these clubs have games to spare - meaning Allies have played more games and risk dropping back to the foot of the table.
