Inter Allies have handed youngster Wahab Ackwei a long-term contract as a reward for his strong finish to the season last term.
The 20-year-old endured a slowed start to the season last year but managed to finish the season strongly by featuring in 20 games.
Ackwei’s contract, it is believed, was nearing expiration â prompting the decision from the club to hand him a long-term contract.
And the young defender expressed his delight in signing the fresh deal whose details remain concealed.
“I’m very happy to have signed a new contract which will keep me here for a longer period,” he told the club’s website.
“Management has shown great faith in me and I’m delighted that the team wants to keep me.”
