Inter goalkeeper eager to win with the club

Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic admitted that he is flattered by interest from other clubs but he is keen to win silverware with the Nerazzurri.

The Slovenia international feels that the Milan club are special and he is happy to be there despite the lack of recent success and instability in the ownership structure.

“Inter are a unique and classy club,” said Handanovic to Sport 360.

“I arrived during a changing of the guard with a new generation of players and a new owner. All of this motivated me even if it was natural to balance the books during such turnover.”

“It’s strange but natural to go through moments without success in football.”

The 32-year-old then moved on to discuss his hopes for the future.

“It makes me happy to hear of interest from others as it means that you are working well,” added Handanovic.

“However, I want to improve on a personal level and win titles with Inter.

“There’s always a lot of pressure when you’re competing for big goals. It’s normal in the life of every sportsperson.

“I think that a club like Inter has to compete for serious objectives every year.”
