Inter Milan director Alessandro Antonello admits San Siro stadium will be demolished.
Inter and AC Milan are working together on a new stadium in the city.
“San Siro will no longer be there for an exact reason," said Antonello.
“We have to reduce the cement volume, but there are many ideas on how to keep the memory alive. It's part of our DNA. Both clubs have a solid bond with San Siro.
“Milan and Inter want to invest and part of the money will help the city of Milano.
“The planned investment is â¬1.3b and will increase job opportunities in the area.
“The area will be open to the public and respect the highest quality standards.
"We are working toward a stadium with a capacity of 60-65,000."
