Inter Milan left-back Kwadwo Asamoah admits his side were unable to pick maximum points against US Sassuolo due to their failure to adhere to the strategy of coach Luciano Spalletti.

The Nerazzurri's were matched by bogey side US Sassuolo in nearly an empty San Siro Stadium on Saturday.

Sassuolo threatened the hosts on few occasions and could have gone ahead in the 55th minute through Kevin-Prince Boateng but goalkeeper Samir Handanovic reacted quickly to parry away the Ghanaian headed effort.

The only clear chance Luciano Spalletti's men had was a late header by substitute Lautaro Martinez.

"All that was missing from our game was the final pass, we made the wrong decision on a number of occasions," Asamoah told Inter TV.

"The Coach asked us to remain calm, including in the final stages if the score remained goalless. We made a few mistakes on the ball and need to work on this. When a goal doesn’t come, we have to concentrate on keeping the ball and attack at the right moment."

Inter Milan will hope to return to winning ways when they plays as guests to Torino on Sunday, January 27.
