Interviewed by FourFourTwo, Croatian international winger Ivan Perisic (29) stated: "I was close to leave Inter Milan back in summer 2017. Then Spalletti, who had just joined in, showed he wanted to rely on me a lot, and explained he didn't want to lose me. That was flattering, of course, and it pushed me staying put, a decision I never felt regret for. There was an offer from Manchester United, it was very tempting though. What does the future lay for me? I'm a professional athlete, and challenges are the force driving us to change and improve. I'm still willing to engage into leagues such as English and Spanish ones, and I hope Inter fans understand this perspective. However, I don't know what the future brings with itself for us, I'm just focused on doing my very best here".
