Ghana and Inter Milan star Kwadwo Asamoah has warned Ghanaians to be concerned about the coronavirus outbreak which has claimed a lot of lives globally.

Kwadwo Asamoah lives in Italy which has become the epicentre of the Covid-19 with a lot of deaths recorded over the past days.

Italy has recorded 59,138 cases with, 5,476 death cases confirmed.

According to the Ghanaian superstar, Italy is currently overwhelmed and authorities have now turned to God for answers as the number of death cases continues to rise.

Speaking in an interview with Accra based radio station Peace FM he said, “The condition in Italy now has worsened and I will say it’s not good. I am doing well but the conditions here are very bad.

“For now we can’t go anywhere. All training programs have been cancelled. Everything has been shut down here in Milan.

“It hasn’t been easy. We didn’t take this thing seriously in the beginning. People were still going about their daily activities that is why the virus has really spread that fast”.

Asamoah also revealed that he got scared when the news broke that Juventus players had contracted the disease.

“So far no Inter Milan player has contracted the disease. It’s worrying to know some players have contracted the virus especially the players from Juventus because they were the last team we played against before the break.

“Even when you have a normal cough you get scared and think you having the virus”.

He advised Ghanaians to adhere to the preventive measures given out by health officials and government.

“I will advise Ghanaians to take this virus seriously. They should abstain from social gatherings at this point. It is not easy and they should follow the instructions given out by the doctors and government officials”.
