Inter Milan will attempt an ambitious move for Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema if striker Mauro Icardi leaves this summer, reports Corriere dello Sport.
Icardi has frequently been linked with a move away from the San Siro over the past two seasons and Inter have identified Benzema as a possible replacement.
However, according to reports, it would be a difficult deal for Inter to pull off as Madrid would seek a transfer fee in excess of 50m euros if they sanction the sale of the Frenchman.
Benzema, who is under contract until 2019, has scored 24 times in just 26 outings this season.
