Inter plan to change club name and badge

Antonio Conte masterminded an impressive 2-0 victory over Juventus on Sunday evening which put Inter right into the Scudetto picture, yet off the pitch there are some uncertain decisions being made with the Milan club planning to change their club name and badge.

Rumours of yet another change of ownership emerged in the days prior to the victory over the defending champions, and apparently the Suning Group want to make Inter more marketable.

"The [club want] to be more international by ceasing to be Internazionale," stated Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report continued that from the beginning of March, the club will be renamed Inter Milan, whilst the club logo will also be changed.

The F and C in Football Club will disappear, whilst the I and M will be introduced in their place, which is supposed to make the club's emblem appear more minimalist and modern.

These are months of change at Inter, and a new sponsor will also arrive after years of a partnership with Pirelli.

Evergrande are in advanced negotiations to take over the shirt sponsorship of the club, as Suning are attempting to modernise the club in order to make them more appealing to potential investors.
