Inter to loan Sulley Muntari to Genoa

Reports in Italy say Inter Milan are considering the option of sending Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari to Genoa in a proposed deal to sign Argentine Rodrigo Palacio.

Both clubs met on Sunday to discuss a potential switch and Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is allegedly only willing to let go striker Palacio if Inter meet his financial demands and send a player to Luigi Ferraris as part of the transfer.

However, Goran Pandev who was initially offered as a makeweight to the deal has told the Nerazzuris he is not interested in a move to Genoa.

Inter Milan are now considering sending either Muntari who spent last season on loan at Sunderland or Kenyan midfielder MacDonald Mariga.

Turkish side Galatasaray reportedly also met Inter officials last week over the transfer of the 26-year-old.
