Inter will soon welcome Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young to the fold after the pair tested negative for COVID-19.

The Moroccan was forced to miss Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League after testing positive in the hours leading up to the match.

“FC Internazionale Milano announce that Achraf Hakimi tested negative for the swab carried out yesterday after the positive results found by UEFA tests ahead of the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“The player, completely asymptomatic, was subjected to a further swab test today to assess his actual situation.”

As for Young, the Englishman initially tested positive back on October 11.

Corriere dello Sport reports Young won’t take part in Inter’s match with Genoa on Saturday, but he will be available to Tuesday’s Champions League match with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Roberto Gagliardini, Milan Skriniar and Ionut Radu remain sidelined.
