Serene, confident, André Ayew surely is. Strengthened by his experience during the World Cup, the Olympique Marseille (OM) midfielder gives us his views on Wednesday's Champions League clash with Manchester United match, after a crucial victory in the league.

How does the squad feel after the victory against Saint-Etienne?

First of all we are happy to have regained second place, it was important for us to win. Our goal is the championship, we want absolutely to keep our title. We must continue like this, fighting to the end. But now that we won this match against Saint-Etienne, we'll move on and think about Wednesday.

What does it mean to you to face a team like Manchester United? It's great for me but also for the whole team and the city of Marseille. Manchester are a big team, they have a lot of amazing players, a famous coach, their history speaks for them. It's going be a big game and we will of course give our maximum.

Which players do you fear most in their squad? We cannot point to any particular individual player, they are dangerous as a collective. They can all make a difference at any time.

A few days ago Rod Fanni said if you do not believe in your chances, it was not worth playing this game, do you agree with him? Yes absolutely. It will be difficult but we have our chances, we'll have to fight of course, and show the best of ourselves. We know we can manage something against them, anyway we must believe, have faith. We must give everything to do everything to make Marseille proud of their team, and show that we are worthy to wear the jersey of OM.

What will be the key to this game, how will you find a way through? Sometimes we can imagine how to play a match, once you step out onto the pitch all plans disappear. For us, the key will be first of all to play with a lot of desire, determination and strength. And of course, the fans behind us.

You played last summer's World Cup with Ghana, do you think this is a plus for you, are you approaching the European encounters more calmly? I think the World Cup has given me more confidence. Last season I played in the Ligue 2 and we managed to achieve promotion (with Arles-Avignon, ed.) Today I play for the biggest and most prestigious French club. I have the opportunity to play regularly with some great teammates, this is a chance for me. I'm still young, I continue to progress. So this World Cup has allowed me to have confidence not only for this kind of game but in general.
