Inzaghi: SPAL never gave up, but I expected more from my Lazio players

Published on: 15 September 2019

Simone Inzaghi was far from pleased by Lazio’s second-half collapse in Ferrara that saw them throw away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 on Sunday.

Ciro Immobile’s first-half penalty was canceled out by Andrea Petagna’s leveller before Jasmin Kurtic scored a last-gasp winner for the Biancazzurri.

“The second half wasn’t good,” Inzaghi said to open his short press conference after the game.

“We did well in the first half but we didn’t get a second goal. SPAL never gave up and they believed in the comeback.

“We have a lot of regrets and need to improve in the future. These blackouts can’t happen. We need more order.

“I expected more from everyone.”
