Isaac Twum to captain Black Meteors against Togo in AFCON U-23 qualifier

WAFU winning captain of Ghana, Isaac Twum will lead the Black Meteors in their game against Togo in the Africa U-23 championship qualifier. 

Twum joined the Black Meteors team from his club in Norway and he is expected to use his experience to help the team secure qualification to the next stage.

Ghana will host Togo today at the Baba Yara with the return leg in four days time in Lome, Togo.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko opted for the IK Start midfielder to captain his side with hopes of inspiring the team to success in the qualifiers.

Isaac Twum led the Ghana team B's to success in the WAFU Cup of Nations last year before earning a move to Norway to sign for IK Start.

The 20 year old is joined by Frank Arhin,Osman Bukari, Kwabena Owusu, Evans Mensah, Gideon Mensah, Joel Fameyeh as the foreign contingent in the squad.

The winner of the two legged game will play Gabon in the final phase of the qualifiers.
