Isco left Real Madrid more than a year ago

MARCA revealed that Isco has asked to leave Real Madrid once the transfer market opens in January. Some have been surprised, although that isn't the case in my mind. For me, Isco left Real Madrid more than a year ago, his body is in Valdebebas training, but his head gives the impression that it isn't there with his body. You don't have to be a genius to figure it out.

Go ahead, I have been one of the biggest defenders of Isco. In the seven years he has been at Real Madrid he has had some excellent games. I remember him playing well against Barcelona, against Atletico Madrid, against Juventus and I even remember how he changed the Champions League final in Lisbon when he entered in the second half.

The man from Malaga was essential for Real Madrid to finally beat Atletico Madrid in extra-time on that day. His quality is unquestionable and is available to very few players in LaLiga Santander.

That is why it doesn't enter my head that at 28, the best age for any footballer, he is seen on the pitch without illusion, without passion, unable to transmit energy. Isco has become an inconsequential footballer, at least for Los Blancos.

It's incredible that a player of his talent has scored three goals and given two assists thus far this season and last. These are numbers that are just inconceivable for a player who is positioned so close to the penalty area.

Zinedine Zidane continues to bet on him, but it's decreasing. Before Villarreal there are some images from Movistar in which you can see how they call Isco to warm up in the second half, yet it takes him more than two minutes to be ready. He pulls up his socks, stretch his shorts and puts on a game-face with reluctance, so much reluctance. This is then seen on the pitch.

In this there is a huge contrast with Mariano Diaz who, despite everything that has happened with him, goes out onto the pitch with a completely different attitude, whether he is a better or worse footballer.

Isco should be vitally important for this Real Madrid team. The truth is that he hasn't been for years. I don't know if that is for a physical reason, but he is now a player who doesn't take risks. He doesn't have the footballing bravery to give that last pass and try and unbalance defences, and neither does he help out in his own team's defending.

For this reason, in these conditions I agree with Isco. The best thing for him is to find another team and recapture that passion for playing. He has plenty of talent, but that alone isn't enough. I am convinced that he will still give many afternoons of glory when he regains that passion, but at Real Madrid I think it's impossible, and that us a shame for both him and Los Merengues.
