Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey starred for French Ligue 1 side Sochaux on his debut as they pipped Nancy 1-0 at the Stade Georges Pequegnot on Saturday.

Yartey came off the bench in the 75th minute to replace Senegalese international Abdoul Camara.

Sochaux manager Eric Hély deployed the former Ghana Under-17 star on the left wing and he was overly impressive.

"I'm happy with how the game went. I like how I played and I'm much excited. I hope to get more playing time in the coming games," Yartey told MTNFootball.com

The 22-year-old completed his switch to the Montbéliard-based side in a four-year-deal worth US$5 million from Portuguese giants SL Benfica.
