The Coverciano training ground, where Italy prepare their games and coaches get their badges, is becoming a makeshift hospital during the coronavirus pandemic.
Wards are packed out in this unprecedented crisis and different buildings are being co-opted to help ease the pressure.
Il Messaggero newspaper notes that the Coverciano training ground near Florence will begin welcoming up to 54 people from Monday April 6.
The structure is where Italy teams from senior to youth level stay during international duty, but also hosts the Museum of Calcio and is where coaches study to get their certificates.
Their 54 rooms will be used to house people who have recovered enough to leave intensive care, but must continue to live in isolation until they test negative for COVID-19.
These are people who for various reasons cannot self-isolate at home during this period.
