It's a blessing to return to Black Stars - Israel-based striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom

Israel-based striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom has described his Black Stars as a blessing after being named in the squad for the games against Ethiopia and South Africa.

Yiadom, who has scored two goals for Beitar Jerusalem, is one of the forwards invited to participate in the key World Cup qualifiers. This is his first call-up in four years.

He scored a brace in a low-profile friendly match on Monday against Golden Kicks as Black Stars commenced preparations for the games.

" It's a blessing to be back. I always cherish the opportunity to be part of the national team so I'm excited to join the squad and ready to give my best. The feeling of unity is great. Everything in camp is peaceful," Yiadom said.

The two games are important for the Black Stars as they must collect six points to qualify for the playoffs.

"I believe we have enough quality and experience to beat Ethiopia and South Africa. It won't be smooth sailing, but is not beyond our ability as a team."

Ghana will play Ethiopia first on Thursday before hosting South Africa in Cape Coast on Sunday.
