Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu has expressed his delight ahead of the international break, claiming its always nice to wear the Black Stars jersey.

Nuhu has been a key figure for German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim since joining last year from Swiss giants Young Boys.

The 24-year-old’s form for the Blue and White lads has been rewarded with a call up into the Ghana side that will be facing Kenya in the final match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.

During an interview with German website achtzehn99.de, Nuhu believes a bit of break from club football is always good adding that playing for thr national team during international break helps him to keep his rhythm.

“I think that a bit of a break is always good, as many of us are playing for their national teams in the meantime, so we do not lose our rhythm and personally I always look forward to flying to Africa Kenya and Rwanda, they are important games, we can qualify for the African Cup, and in addition, I can see my family in Ghana, I will be able to spend at least a day or two with them, after a long time without them very well, is important to me and just beautiful.”

Nuhu has netted once in three games for the West Africa powerhouse.

He has registered one assist in 13 matches in all competitions for his club side despite missing some games during the first half of the season through injury.
