Heart of Lions coach, Bashir Hayford, remains optimistic about his team's chances of winning the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
Despite being third in the league standings, six points behind leaders Bibiani Gold Stars, Hayford believes his team is still in contention.
"We are expecting a win. We have to make sure we get some points because life at the top is not easy. We have done well, but we are striving to go higher," Hayford said ahead of the team's Week 29 match against Legon Cities FC.
Hayford emphasized that his team is not giving up on their title aspirations, saying, "It’s not over until it’s over. We have five matches to go. It’s about 15 points. We are trying to get 10 points, and we will see where it will take us. We are still on course."
The match between Legon Cities FC and Heart of Lions will kick off at 3 pm on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Hayford's team will be looking to secure a win to keep their title hopes alive and maintain their position in the top three.
