Ivory Coast are considering playing Benin in Ghana in this month's African Cup of Nations qualifiers because of the political violence in the country.

The Elephants were scheduled to host the Squirrels in Abidjan but post election violence in the country is threatening the game taking place in the country.

Several newspapers reported in the country that the Ivorian FA is considering shifting the game to neighbouring Ghana.

According to Sport-Ivoire newspaper, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is also monitoring the situation in the West African country.

CAF will decide whether to move the game to Accra but Accra has the facilities to host the game.

Ivory Coast are leading Group H with maximum six points after two matches.

A win against Benin will put them firmly on course for a place at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
