James Rodriguez out for revenge against Southampton

James Rodriguez will want to put his first meeting with Southampton behind him as Everton prepare to host the Saints at Goodison Park on Monday night.

The reverse fixture in October saw the Colombian and his teammates suffer harsh criticism as they slumped to their first defeat of the season.

James himself had plucked up the courage to play at St Mary's after suffering a knock during the previous weekend's Merseyside derby.

However, he looked uncomfortable throughout against Southampton and couldn't reproduce the form he'd shown in the weeks prior.

During the 2-0 loss, pundits and journalists criticised James' game and his physical capacity to cope with the demands of the Premier League.

On Monday, James has the chance to redeem himself as Ralph Hasenhuttl's Saints travel to Liverpool to take on Carlo Ancelotti's side.
